About Lefteris Coffee & Tearoom

Introducing Lefteris Coffee & Tearoom is always a pleasure for me, especially when someone asks for an easygoing cafe that feels comfortable from the first visit. This is one of those relaxed spots I love pointing people toward when they appreciate good coffee and a laid-back atmosphere without any unnecessary fuss. Tucked away at 9 Tyrrel St, Bradford BD1 1RU, United Kingdom, the cafe feels like a natural pause button in the middle of a busy day, where the pace slows and conversations flow just a little more freely. From the moment you step inside, Lefteris Coffee & Tearoom gives off a welcoming, neighborhood vibe that works just as well for a quick solo visit as it does for a casual meet-up with friends. The menu keeps things simple but thoughtful, focusing on quality coffee and small plates that fit perfectly whether you are grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a longer stay. As someone who enjoys cafes that feel approachable, I find the atmosphere encourages lingering chats, quiet work sessions, and spontaneous drop-ins, while the coffee-focused offerings keep everything grounded and consistent, making it easy to recommend to both locals and visitors exploring Bradford for the first time. I often mention it to anyone looking for vegan or vegetarian options, since the choices feel considered rather than added as an afterthought. Service is flexible too, which is always a plus in my book, because you can enjoy on-site services when you want to linger, opt for takeaway when time is tight, or choose delivery or dine-in depending on the day. What really stands out to me is how the space manages to feel calm without being quiet, social without being overwhelming, and familiar even on a first visit. Lefteris Coffee & Tearoom fits naturally into everyday routines, whether that means a morning coffee run, a midday break, or an informal catch-up over small plates, blending into the rhythm of the week with an ease that feels genuinely inviting.

Excellent Mocha Great coffee and tea and a large selection of cakes and pastries warm Pastel de Natta took it to a different level. Be aware the coffee is very hot as it should be

Absolutely lovely coffee shop with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. One of the highlights of Bradford. They also have delicious sourdough bread Friday to Sunday. Shout out to Elizabeth , Maria and Terrence. Terrence is a proud manager. Rightly proud!!

Visited Lefteris Coffee & Tearoom for the first time and was curious to try a white chocolate mocha. Terence, the barista who made it, created a beautiful tulip design which was probably the most unique I’ve seen so far, and the mocha tasted amazing. He was polite and even checked from a distance if I liked it. While the café was clean and inviting with a great atmosphere, however not all staff were as welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this place and will be coming back to try more drinks!

I love this place, especially in the winter. Great to come for a nice brunch with friends. My usual order is the cheese and onion toastie and the dark hot chocolate. Tastes amazing every time I order this. My favourite dessert from lefteris is the carrot cake, one of the best carrot cakes I have ever tried. The owner is so friendly and the staff are nice too. A bit expensive but a nice treat every once in a while. Great atmosphere and environment for studying or catching up with friends.

The most beautiful stunning cafe I've ever been too. Wow what a gorgeous setting. Was very disappointed to see costco cakes being sold here though for extortionate prices. Overall its my new go to place I'm in love.

Lovely place to visit for food and a drink. The sandwiches are really tasty and a generous size. Well worth a visit if in Bradford.

One of the reason I visit Bradford for the second time - after fell madly in love last year with the biscoff cheesecake during my first visit to the city. The location is perfect and inviting, also close to the railway station. Can't remember much about the chai I had last year but the cake is as perfect as it could be. During my second visit I was disappointed to find no cheesecake at all on display, so I chose biscoff cream cake instead as it looks as inviting as the cheesecake. And oh my word I don't know how they made it so perfectly. It is perfectly spongy, light, not too sweet, and didn't feel like a sugar sin. Stayed here for an hour before our train back home - the staffs are friendly and the seats are comfy, will def come back next time to discover more perfect cakes. And no, I am usually not a fan of a cake.

Cosy and warmly decorated cafe. Not cold/modern/canteen style like the rest in the area. Great cakes, coffee and brunch selection. Very tasty and large portion of smashed avocado on toast, all though I got looked at like I was speaking alien and treated like I was a huge inconvenience for asking for a fried egg be added to the order … the staff were either new, hungover (let’s be honest we’ve all been there), or a bit put out by our presence … not sure which. Either way, it’s still the cosiest cafe in town and the cakes are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
